That memorable morning, the lagoon of Stokksnes in Iceland woke up shrouded in a blanket of ice, creating an impressive and magical scene. From the very first moment, I could sense a series of captivating details that made me anticipate an extraordinary experience. The strong storms had trapped seaweed and other plant debris, which now lay imprisoned on my icy canvas, creating a fascinating visual composition. The black volcanic sand, known for its uniqueness, transformed into an abstract version of Jackson Pollock's art, forcefully emphasizing the landscape. Each splash of black sand on the white ice canvas generated a visual symphony of captivating contrasts. The dark and vibrant colors stood out powerfully against the purity of the ice and the immaculate white of the surrounding snow. It was as if the landscape itself were expressing its own form of art, evoking a sense of awe and admiration in my heart.
